SURE-FIRE flashlights are known for their unusually high light output and small size, and for their exceptionally smooth and well focused beam. We offer six different basic flashlight models to choose from, plus a number of different battery chargers for the rechargeable models. This selection allows you to choose the very best flashlight system for your specific needs, either as initially purchased or as modified later using one of the conversion kits.

The most meaningful measure of the "power" of a flashlight is the total amount of light it produces, given in "lumens." (We do not use "candlepower," since it is merely a measure of the brightest spot in a beam.)

In order to realize the vast difference both in size and power between SURE-FIRE flashlights and others on the market, we offer the following comments.

A typical, good-quality competitive mini-flashlight will usually put out about 5 lumens . . . a 2D-cell flashlight, about 15 lumens . . . and a large, police style 3D-cell flashlight about 30 lumens. Compare for yourself!

The unique modular nature of SURE-FIRE flashlights gives you the ability to change from one model to another with minimum expense, using convenient conversion kits. Over 21 conversion kits are available to give the maximum flexibility in selection; these choices are based on the type and capacity of the batteries used, the type of battery charger supplied, and the size and light output of the flashlight. The conversion kits are listed to the right; for kits with battery chargers for foreign use, contact the factory.

The 8X and 9N flashlights are two of the most impressive rechargeable flashlights available today. Both use the potent B90 Ni-Cd battery, which has over twice the capacity of the smaller B65 battery used in the 6R, but puts out more than twice as much light.
